Potpourri

• 10 dried marigold blossoms
• 6 dried geranium leaves
• Dried petals from 5 roses
• 2 teaspoons dried lavender
• 2 teaspoons orris root
• 2 drops rose fixative

Combine all the ingredients in a medium-size bowl. Then set out in bathrooms, living rooms or the bedroom for a sweet, flowery scent.

Pine variation

• 16 Tbls snipped balsam needles
• 20 miniature pine cones
• 8 tablespoons rose hips
• 2 teaspoons orris root
• 2 drops pine-scented fixative.
